It's our belief that Christian ministry is a work of the heart. Consequently, whatever shape our heart is in, will determine what type of ministry care we are able to offer. Sabbatical rest consists of disconnecting with our normal schedule in order to more fully connect with Father. As connection with Father occurs, the heart is healed and authentic ministry of reconciliation and healing can be accomplished. Without the healing of the heart there is no hope for authentic Life-shaping and transforming ministry to occur.
Westwood Ministries offers a place of rest and retreat for the purpose of renewal, healing and health through our retreat center in Mountain Home, TX. Length of stays are tailor-made to fit the needs and purpose of the client. Contemplative retreats are available as well, these may be self-guided or with the help of a spiritual director. Westwood Retreat Center offers just under 50 acres of quiet space for connecting with Father, private cabins, meeting areas, horse-back riding, and local Hill Country attractions.
