Meet The Staff Of Westwood Ministries

 Dr. Dave & Norma Gentry

Dave was Pastor for 8 years, Doctor of Biblical Counseling, Trinity Seminary.  Norma holds a BA in English, Angelo State University.

The Gentry's founded Westwood Ministries in 1989.  Dave is Executive Director and Counselor.  Norma is Director of Hospitality & Office Manager.


Sandy Smith

Sandy currently on the Westwood Board of Directors and is pursuing a Biblical Counseling degree. She is also responsible for The Potter's Institute.  On staff since June 2000

Jack & Jo Ann Seefeldt

Jack is Principal architect--Johnson Seefeldt Architects and past Westwood Ministries board president.  Jo Ann is a Registered Nurse.

Jack is Business Manager, and manager of Westwood Ministries' technical systems.    Jo Ann provides office support and shares responsibility for the care of Westwood's animals.  On staff since June 2001


Mark & Jenny Johnson

Mark & Jenny met at Howard Payne University.  They were married October 15, 2005.

Jenny holds a B.S. in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Counseling from Howard Payne University.  Before joining Westwood she worked as caseworker at a Baptist Children's Home in South Texas.  She is responsible for Soul Pursuit, Westwood's ministry to children/teens of Christian Leaders.   On staff since October 2002.

Mark is community pastor at Soul Café, a local church in Kerrville.  Additionally, he assists Jenny with Soul Pursuit and helps with COA retreats.

Trevor & Bonnie Middleton

Prior to joining Westwood, Bonnie & Trevor were missionaries for 18 years in Belize and served as directors of "Youth With A Mission".  Trevor and Bonnie serve as associate ministers.  Trevor works in the area of counseling and oversees physical operations.

Bonnie serves in the areas of counseling and hospitality.  On staff since January 2005


Micah Abshier 

Micah has a BBS in Communications from Hardin-Simmons University.  He is a preacher’s kid with sales experience and has served on Westwood Ministry's advisory board.  Micah is coordinating the fundraising and development for Westwood Ministries.  On staff since July 2006

Sharon Gentry

Sharon taught  in public schools for 30 years and has her Masters in Art Education.  She has been involved with Westwood Ministries since the beginning, 1989, with a more active role during the time Westwood was located in Mertzon, TX. She now serves as ministry associate, receptionist and office assistant.   On staff since June of 2005.


Jim & Kathy Morris

Jim and Kathy Morris have 5 children:
Kelli Wells - college, Marci Wells - college
Penny Wells - High school, Jimmy Morris - business, & Lauren Morris - High School

As members of First Baptist Church Kerrville, Jim & Kathy have been associated with Westwood Ministries in one way or another since Westwood moved to Kerrville. They have managed a family business, True Master, Inc. (storage), since 1984 here in Kerrville.  Jim has been an Advisory Board member, a Board of Director member, Interim Director and now is serving as Administrator of Westwood.

Penny Williams

Penny retired from SBC management in 2000.  She was responsible for computer mechanization for 5 states. 

Penny is responsible for Westwood's computer, media and web support. On staff since March 2002.
