HEART TO HEART

What an awesome experience to find God going before you and preparing the way.  It is a scriptural phenomena that we see witnessed in God’s word many times.  When Israel was led to go into the promised land to conquer and take the land, God went before them and prepared the way.  When Gideon and his small group of men took the city of Jericho, God went before them and prepared the way.  Even before Jesus came in the fullness of time, the Father went before Him and prepared the way through the ministry of John the Baptist. 

When God is up to something He is always going before and preparing the way!  It’s His way.  He loves to set things up so His children get to be in on the victory!  It’s His way.  It’s like watching your son throw a touchdown pass in the high school football game, or your daughter graduate with honors!  You know that you got them started and set things up early in life, but they are the ones who followed through and pulled it off.  It’s neat to see your children’s accomplishments and experience the victory.  The parent went before them and helped them get started and gave them the opportunity.  Parents love to prepare the way! 

God is still in the business of going before His children and preparing the way!  Sometimes we children miss the opportunities that He has prepared because we have a maintenance mind-set instead of a miracle mind-set.  God never goes before and prepares the way for average stuff.  He loves to set up the world for miracles!  He loves to go before His children and prepare for miracles! 

These last few years, it has been truly awesome to see God at work through Westwood Ministries.  He has genuinely gone before us and prepared the way in our years of transition with our move to Kerrville, Texas. Now, He is unfolding His plan each day before our very eyes!  To me, the victory of Jericho is no more tremendous than what God has allowed me to witness these past few years.  He has used Westwood Ministries as a mighty tool to strengthen and restore Christian leaders and His church. 

He is still going before us.  He is still preparing the way for the Good News.  The good news is that He is in the business of miracles, not just maintenance!  The miracle of miracles is that God desires to encounter you, today!  Ready?
