HEART TO HEART

What an exciting year this has been and what an exciting time of year!  I love the fall with all the celebrations, festivities and special family times.  This November is indeed a time for thanksgiving and celebration.  I thank God for friends and partners such as you and I celebrate what God is doing in our day.  I am thankful that he is letting me be a part of what He is doing.  I invite you to join me in celebrating God and His powerful work on this planet by joining us for our annual Westwood Christmas Gala on December 13th from 6pm-10pm at Westwood Retreat Center!  The theme this year is “A Fifties Country Christmas"! It is a dress up occasion (Sunday or party dress) and this year with a ‘flare of the fifties’.  There will be live music of Christmas and especially of Christmas in the 1950’s.  As is our tradition, there will be ‘thematic cuisine’ from several cultures.  Win neat door prizes and surprises!  This year the different cuisines will be served at various locations around campus.  The ‘sinful desert table’ and drinks will be in The Shepherd’s Lodge.  Carriage rides will take you on a tour of the campus which will include a ‘live nativity’ and the Christmas story.  Be ready for surprises and delights on this festive night of Gala!  Additionally, this will be our first annual Galathon! 

This night has been designed as a Special Christmas Ingathering.  You will find in this mailing a response card for this time of special ingathering.  The goal for the night is $30,000!  Throughout the night of the gala we will be announcing the progress toward the goal!  Please pray over this card and the need it shares.  Send in your ‘Special Christmas Ingathering’ gift by December 13th, call it in that night to one of our staff manning the phones or bring your card and gift to the Gala!
